Wartsila selected as technical manager for Golar LNG

Wärtsilä has been chosen to provide technical management to Golar LNG, one of the largest independent owners of LNG carriers.

The company has signed a five-year agreement to provide services including remote monitoring of engines, advisory services, maintenance planning and guaranteed availability of personnel and spare parts. In addition, the agreement includes a condition-based maintenance (CBM) system to support optimal performance of installed equipment.

Golar LNG operates a fleet of 13 vessels, both LNG carriers and floating storage regasification units (FSRUs). In total the company has 52 engines, all built by Wärtsilä.
