Alfa Laval lands $13.3 million offshore pumping systems order

Nasdaq-listed company, Alfa Laval has won an order to supply Framo pumping systems for a floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) project in Norway.

The contract, booked in the Marine & Offshore Pumping Systems segment, has a value of approximately $13.3 million (SEK 115 million) and delivery is scheduled for 2016. 

The order involves providing crude offloading and fire water pumping systems for the vessel. Once finished, the FSO will be moored in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

“I am pleased to announce another large order for our Framo pumping systems to the offshore oil and gas industry,” says Lars Renström, president and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. “These reliable and efficient products fit very well in our product portfolio for this industry.”

In 2014, Alfa Laval posted annual sales of about SEK 35.1 billion (approx. 3.85 billion Euros). The company has around 18,000 employees.
