CMA CGM inaugurates new logistics platform

CMA CGM has announced the official inauguration of its new logistics platform, the 3CTC Terminal (CMA CGM Cameroon Container Terminal) on February 19 2015. 

Located between Douala and the port, the 3CTC Terminal has actually been operational since January 7 2015, and its concession attributed for 25 years. 

CMA CGM says that the new platform will offer customers a bigger range of logistics solutions including fill and/or empty containers storage in a two hectares secured area and merchandises land transportation in Cameroon, Chad and Central African Republic. 

According to the company, the platform illustrates CMA CGM’s land development strategy. Vice chairman of the CMA CGM group, Rodolphe Saadé said, "This inauguration shows our determination to reinforce our presence in Africa and to develop both our inland and logistics activities there. It also confirms our desire to become a major player in Cameroon’s economic growth."

CMA CGM has been in sub-Saharan Africa since 2001, and employs 1,300 employees in 72 offices.
