DSME takes MOL order

LNG carrier will be chartered for German energy supplier E.ON, due for delivery 2018
DSME takes MOL order

DSME, the South Korean shipbuilder, has signed a contract with MOL for the construction of a 180,000 cbm LNG carrier. The LNG carrier will be chartered out to German energy supplier E.ON

The vessel will be 297.2m in length, 46.4m wide and will boast DSME's partial re-liquefaction system designed to re-liquefy the vapourised gas and return it to the containment system. Dependent on E.ON's trade volume, MOL has the option to order an additional LNG carrier.

The vessel is due for delivery in 2018 from DSME's Okpo shipyard.
