Clarksons is in discussions with the board of Norwegian shipbroker, RS Platou regarding the acquisition of the company
According to a statement from Clarksons, the complementary activities, including geographic locations, operations and industry specialisation, mean that both companies see the possible acquisition as allowing them to enhance their combined business positions and compete as a "leading integrated global shipping and offshore group."
