Wallem and Hoegh expand cooperation

Höegh Autoliners and Wallem Ship Management are expanding their cooperation and looking to establish a joint venture in Singapore.

Wallem, which currently manages nine Höegh vessels, will handle the technical management of all 28 of the company’s vessels by the end of June 2015.

Crewing services for these will continue to be handled from separate Höegh offices in China and the Philippines.

Wallem Group CEO, Simon Doughty said: “Earlier this year our Singapore-based ship management team successfully took over the technical management of nine PCTCs for Höegh, illustrating the depth of knowledge and expertise in our teams.”

“Höegh has an excellent reputation in the industry and our joint venture will continue to deliver high quality ship operations and maintenance.”
