Mariitme companies, Stena Line and Mann Lines have announced a new cooperation.
The two companies will work together to create an extensive joint route network in the North Sea and Baltics to offer added value to their customers in the logistics sector.
Further to this, Stena RoRo will charter the vessel, the Stena Foreteller to Mann Lines.
Stena Line currently has an extensive route network and Mann Lines already offers a liner RoRo service between the ports of Harwich, Cuxhaven, Tallinn, Turku and Bremerhaven, as well as a container service between Rotterdam and the Baltics.
“Mann Lines is a strong player within logistics and in business areas where we are not as strong. Areas which I here refer to are automotive, project loads and the high & heavy segment. Stena Line complements in other areas. From both Stena Line as well as Mann Lines we see that this cooperation will be beneficial for customers at both companies”, says Anders Peterson, Business Development Manager, Stena Line.
The cooperation is made up of three parts. The first is a fixed space charter to Stena Line on a Mann Line ship. Second, Mann Lines will act as sales agent for when it comes to the Stena Lines route network, and third Stena RoRo will charter the Stena Foreteller to Mann Lines. The vessel will enter service in January 2015.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the results of this cooperation, since it will be very beneficial for both current and potential customers and it will increase cargo flows for both companies. Stena Line is a perfect partner for us to cooperate with regarding cargo flows to and from the Benelux countries, says Bill Binks”, Managing Director for Mann Lines.
