GAC Marine Logistics has announced it will be moving its central office to Singapore to better serve the Asian Pacific markets.

The Asia Pacific region has a large number of ship owners and ship management companies who take advantage of GML door-to-deck sourcing and delivery solutions.

GML’s move from Dubai to Sinapore allows the company to put itself right in the centre of what it sees as a growing market.

Jan Kielmann, global director of GML said: "Our customer base in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan has increased significantly over the last years, and we have also seen positive growth in China.

"It therefore made sound business sense to get closer to those key markets, whilst continuing to enhance our ability to work the global GAC network to best serve our clients, wherever they are and wherever they need us.”

Kielmann will be joined in the head office by Oshadha Warnapura, sales manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Along with Dubai and now Singapore, GML has offices in London, Rotterdam, Istanbul, Hamburg, Piraeus, Sao Paulo and Houston, with operations in over a 1,000 locations.
