Nordic Tankers has announced Carsten Brix Ostenfeldt as senior vice president and head of the techincal organisation.
Ostenfeldt, 47, is currently working as CEO of Thome Ship Management, a technical manager of tankers and bulkers based in Singapore. Ostenfeldt has been with Thome Group since 2010. Prior to this he was working as vice president of MAN Diesel SE in Germany and Denmark. He will join Nordic Tankers on January 1 2015.
Ostenfeldt began his career at Odense Steel Shipyard after completing a BSc at the Copenhagen School of Engineering and an executive MBA in shipping and logistics at the Copenhagen Business School.
Henriette Schütze is also joining the executive management team as CFO on October 1 2014. Schütze most recent position was as CFO and member of the executive board of Georg Hensen. She will replace Jesper Fors Holmark.
Ostenfeldt and Schütze will join Per Sylvester Jensen (president and CEO) and Michael Adeltoft (senior vice president, chartering and operations) on the executive management team.
